On Friday, March 8th, a multitude of fans gathered at the University of Ghana Sports Stadium to witness the commencement of the 13th African Games.
The lively and vivid opening ceremony showcased international sports personalities and diplomats. Athletes proudly adorned themselves in their national colors, representing countries such as Ethiopia, Tunisia, Seychelles Island, Ghana, South Africa, Egypt, and more.
The ceremony was graced by Ghanaian musicians, including Shatta Wale, King Promise, and South Africa’s Kamo Mphela, who delivered spectacular performances.
As soon as Shatta Wale took the stage, he created an electrifying atmosphere, leaving the crowd shouting and expressing their excitement. The Dancehall King’s performance, especially during his rendition of the hit song “Ayoo,” prompted enthusiastic cheers from the audience. Shatta Wale even paused to showcase some energetic “Kolo” dance moves, sending his fans into a frenzy.
