Sheela Oppong Sakyi, the Head of Strategic Planning and Implementation, and Legal Advisor at the Office of the First Lady of Ghana, is vying for the New Patriotic Party (NPP) parliamentary candidacy in the Dome Kwabenya Constituency. She emphasizes her commitment to unifying the NPP in the area and securing a third consecutive term in the General Elections, commonly known as ‘breaking the eight.’
To achieve this, Sakyi faces the challenge of defeating the incumbent Member of Parliament, Sarah Adwoa Safo, and another contender, Mike Ocquaye. Speaking on Asempa FM’s Ekosiisen program, Sakyi highlighted her legal and development expertise, expressing the desire to contribute to the constituency’s development and assist the NPP in retaining the parliamentary seat and winning the General Elections.
As the NPP prepares for parliamentary primaries on January 27, 2024, the Dome-Kwabenya Constituency delegates will decide among Sheela Oppong Sakyi, Sarah Adwoa Safo, and Mike Ocquaye Jnr.
