Police at the Manhyia Divisional Police Command have arrested popular actor Kwadwo Nkansah, professionally known as Lil Win, in connection with a recent car accident that resulted in the death of a three-year-old boy.
Lil Win was taken into custody immediately after being discharged from the hospital, where he had been receiving treatment for his injuries.
The arrest followed intense pressure from the deceased’s family, who had been demanding justice for the tragic incident.
According to police, Lil Win’s arrest was delayed due to his health condition, but a police vehicle was stationed at the hospital to ensure his prompt detention upon release.
The actor was seen in a video being transported to the Manhyia Divisional Police Command of the Motor Traffic and Transport Department (MTTD) for further investigation. While details of the case have not been disclosed, the police have confirmed that the actor is in custody and the investigation is ongoing.
Lil Win was involved in a severe car accident on Saturday, May 25, in Amakom, Kumasi, which tragically resulted in the death of a three-year-old child. Online videos show the extent of the damage to his branded Mercedes-Benz, with five men seen carrying him from the driver’s seat to another vehicle before he was transported to the hospital for medical attention.
