Popular content creator and YouTuber Code Micky has amusingly voiced his disappointment with the organizers of the Ghana Music Awards for not including his song “Momo Yaa” in the list of nominees for the upcoming ceremony.
In a viral video, Code Micky jovially reprimanded the award organizers, asserting that “Momo Yaa,” a song he considers thought-provoking, deserved recognition. He expressed his belief that he would be nominated for Songwriter of the Year or another suitable category.
The video, circulated on Code Micky’s social media platforms, prompted some Ghanaians to jest that “Momo Yaa” wasn’t deserving of an award nomination. Notably, Code Micky created the video for entertainment purposes.
In a related development, Amerado expressed disappointment over his song “Kwaku Ananse” not receiving a nomination for the Ghana Music Awards, scheduled for June.
Through his X page, the rapper conveyed his dissatisfaction with the omission of his song and sought clarification from the award organizers.
“Kwaku Ananse” enjoyed significant popularity in Ghana throughout 2023, receiving extensive airplay nationwide.
