Akufo-Addo appoints Ofori-Atta as senior presidential advisor, special envoy for int’l finance

President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has designated former Minister of Finance, Ken Ofori-Atta, as the Senior Presidential Advisor and Special Envoy for International Finance and Private Sector Investments.

Mr. Ofori-Atta was relieved of his duties as Finance Minister on Wednesday, February 14, and was succeeded by Mohammed Amin Adam.

In a statement dated February 15, the Chief of Staff, Akosua Frema Osei-Opare, extended congratulations to the former Finance Minister on his new appointment and conveyed best wishes.

“I am delighted to inform you that the President of the Republic has appointed you as the Senior Presidential Advisor and Special Envoy for International Finance and Private Sector Investments.

“I take this opportunity to formally congratulate you on your reassignment and wish you every success in your new role,” she affirmed.
