Sophie’s stepfather confirmed her death on the GoFundMe page, saying, “I sadly share that our beloved Sophia has passed away, leaving her family and friends devastated.” A GoFundMe created by her stepfather asked for support for funeral expenses and the investigation. Romero mentioned Sophia was found in her apartment on March 1, and the investigation is ongoing.
Romero described Sophia as a beloved daughter, sister, granddaughter, niece, and friend. He mentioned her love for animals and her three pets. He also shared that she enjoyed traveling and making people smile. The GoFundMe, managed by Romero, has raised nearly $6,000 by Saturday afternoon, half of the goal, for Veronica Lopez. Romero expressed that Sophia will be missed but remembered in the hearts of those who loved her.
In February, adult film star Kagney Linn Karter sadly died by suicide, shocking her friends and social media followers. Reportedly, she passed away at her home in Ohio last week.
A GoFundMe was started by Karter’s friends on behalf of her mother, Tina. They shared the sad news of her death and explained, “Despite her many accomplishments, Kagney struggled with mental health issues over the years.”
Her friend also talked about Karter’s mental health challenges, saying, “Even in her toughest days, she showed up at the studio, always ready to learn, contribute, and improve herself in any way possible.”
